A major benefit of a high flow flashback arrestor is a reduced pressure drop over the arrestor. All flashback arrestors, regardless of brand or model, produce some pressure drop. The larger surface area of a high flow arrestor greatly reduces the pressure drop experience.
Below is an example of the reduced pressure drop between a standard torch mount flashback arrestor and a high flow version.
